Revitalize Contemporary Culture
The Meeting of SS Francis and Dominic
Matthew Conner, Pentecost 2018 issue.
In 2005, while others mourned the death of Catholic literature and art, the founders of Dappled Things set out to showcase a rising tide of new talent to the world.
What began as a tiny online magazine has become a vibrant community full of promising voices—ones that are turning the once-distant hope for a new artistic renaissance into a palpable reality. Many writers and artists published in Dappled Things have gone on to create award-winning works of literature, visual art, and even architecture, while former editors have launched two exciting new presses and even an MFA writing program focused on the Catholic literary tradition. Whoever is still talking about the death of the Catholic novel just isn’t reading.
Things have changed a lot since we began our work, but we are convinced there is an even more promising future ahead. With God’s help, the all-volunteer team behind Dappled Things is eager to undertake the work needed to get there, but we can’t do it without your support.
Please help Dappled Things build a culture that pursues what is true, good, and beautiful with a tax-deductible donation today!
