Rosemary Callenberg

James Dean Erickson was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up about 30 min west of the city in a trailer park where he picked up drawing at a very young age. After graduating from Belleville High School, James attended The University of Virginia where he studied studio art and art history and ran on the cross country and track team. In 2008 he received the UVA Aunspaugh Fellowship in Studio Art. This fall he will attend The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia and work towards an MFA degree in painting.
