Dear Friends of Dappled Things,
We have made significant progress towards our goal of $15,000 for this year’s fundraising campaign, but with just one day to go until the new year, we still have about a third of our funds left to raise. Our current total is $10, 321 [Update: the new total is 11,391]. We need one more batch of readers who believe in our mission to push us over the edge.
The funds remaining are very important for us, particularly because the editorial board has drafted a plan to increase the magazine’s readership involving a revamping and expansion of our nonfiction section, which will allow us to have a greater impact on today’s cultural conversation. Any donations that come in at this point will help us put that plan in action and will constitute an investment in the future of the magazine, since expanding our readership will also mean an expanded donor base for years to come, kick-starting a virtuous cycle of growth.
Please help us to put this plan into action to allow new fruits of the Catholic imagination to reach an ever growing number of hearts and minds.
Wishing you a blessed Christmas season and new year,
Bernardo Aparicio García

P.S.: Note that donations made by December 31st will count for the current tax year, and given the coming changes in US tax policy, any gifts sent by that deadline will be more likely to lower your tax bill.
